Membership
As a PIRATES member you will be entitled to: A listing in the PIRATES directory, which is distributed annually to media public service directors throughout the Los Angeles area; Invitations to all PIRATES programs, workshops and special events; Opportunities to announce your organization's special events; Reduced fees for participation in co-sponsored opportunities such as Santa Monica City TV's Non-Profit Profiles or PSA Workshops; PIRATES' monthly newsletter, The ePLANK, which carries program information, networking and job opportunities and other material helpful to those in the public service field. The fiscal year runs from July I through June 30. 

You MUST fill out New Member Application and pay online or mail in application and check. You will be notified if you have been approved by the board.

$65 Active: Persons employed in the Public Service field. Includes one time initiation fee ($15) and first year’s dues. Renewal is $50 per year thereafter.

$65 Associate: Volunteers in the Public Service field. Includes one time initiation fee ($15) and first year’s dues. Renewal is $50 per year thereafter.

$100 Sustaining: Persons not eligible for Active or Associate membership. Includes individuals or corporations in the commercial field who wish to recognize the goals of PIRATES.
